Executive Summary

This dental business plan describes the launching of a new dental practice. The dentist and owner of the business, Steve Extractor, is an experienced dentist. The office will provide general and cosmetic dentistry services.

Steve will closely watch industry benchmarks, such as new patient count, patient fallout, patient satisfaction, how well the front office fills the calendar in advance, etc., to drive profitable growth and a loyal, growing practice. He expects his practice, to be called "The Tooth Fairy", to be profitable in 10 months and reach comfortable levels within two years.

In order to save money, Steve decided to look for practices that did not have a large list of patients. After several months of looking, Steve found a Dr. who was retiring with a small list of patients and went into negotiations for the practice. After three weeks, the deal was sealed. This plan describes how he will transition and grow the newly acquired dental business.

Steve will aggressively track and push the new patient counts until the practice reaches a comfortable, stable overall patient count.
